Hey there fabric fans. My sewing machine and I have been busy, busy, busy just lately and I should have some exciting new stuff to show you very soon.
Just now though, I would like to share with you an endeavour of a friend and fellow crafter which I would love you all to get involved with.
Chris Webb of Lazy Crafternoons has taken on the substantial task of making and displaying a different craft every week for a year, and auctioning off these creations on Ebay with ALL proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support. An excellent cause and lets face it, one we will all come into contact with at some point in our lives.
I was lucky enough to be the winner on the auction for one of these wonderful coffee cup holders which I use every morning on my way to work as a cozy for my Chai latte, and it brightens up my day!
You can read all about the ’52 weeks, 52 crafts’ challenge over on the Lazy Crafternoons blog, including the inspirational story of how the idea came about. So far we’ve seen, baby bibs, body butters, coffee coasters, and the latest hot item is this amazing patchwork cushion by guest crafter Debbie Greenaway
So, have a look on the blog, and get yourself over to the Ebay auction to bag yourself a home-made bargain, and raise some cash for Macmillan cancer in the meantime.
